Welcome Town with a warm welcome assured and 100 free holidays donated by the Swanage & Purbeck Hospitality Association for Forces Personnel.Swanage and the surrounding area, nestling at the eastern gateway to Dorset’s stunning and spectacular UNESCO World Heritage Jurassic Coast is proud to proclaim itself a Heroes Welcome region. As a small measure of support and appreciation for our brave Armed Forces, members of the Swanage & Purbeck Hospitality Association in conjunction with the licensed Victuallers Association has donated 100 free room nights in local accommodation exclusively for the benefit of our Armed Forces. The local Chamber of Commerce is also supporting the scheme and all participating businesses will be displaying the Heroes Welcome sticker in their premises.
On offer is a short break in Swanage, a traditional Victorian seaside resort, with an interesting and enticing collection of independent Hotels, Guest Houses, B&B’s, shops, a host of delightful restaurants, pubs and bars and an award-winning sandy beach. For those who want to explore further, there are spectacular coastal and countryside walks and picture postcard villages, together with the ever popular Bovington Tank Museum. This is the perfect area for our brave fighting men and women to enjoy some well earned R&R with the family.

How to book a Heroes Welcome break:-
1. Call the Tourist Information Office (TIC) on 01929 422885 with preferred date(s)
2. The TIC will inform you of those establishments with availability on your preferred date(s) – see the accommodation tab for participating establishments.
3. Once you have selected your preferred accommodation the TIC will make the booking for you and confirm, verbally and take a credit card number from you to secure the booking; no charge will be made to the card at this stage.
4. The accommodation provider will confirm your booking, in writing or by email.
5. Cancellations should be made through the TIC.
6. A service charge of £25 will be made for any failure to take up a booking without cancelling.
